About Me
An easy way to get to know me, is to look at the art I create. I’m a hopeless romantic, loving wife, deeply feeling momma of four. I grew up outdoors. My childhood was exploring the tributary at my grandparent’s mountain cabin, digging in the dirt and growing food, camping on the coast of Washington, and singing country music at the top of my lungs.
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a mom. Here I am, blessed to have four beautiful babies, including surprise twins. Motherhood has been a challenging journey, as well as my biggest inspiration. Photography has helped me through the deepest sorrows and allowed me to pause and remember the highest joys of motherhood. It has helped me be more present.
It has connected me with the freedom and joy of my youth. I feel so lucky I get to do this for my job. I get to create art with you. Every year I make a photo book for my family, of all our adventures, the cool to the everyday mundane. They are my most valuable possession. I don’t like being photographed, so if that’s you, just know I get it. I do it because if I were to leave this word tomorrow, I would hope they look back on our photos and remember how it felt to be loved by me.
“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
